Superb cognac service in french limoges porcelain decorated with napoleon i, produced between 1945 and 1967. These glasses feature an imperial bee on 3 sides and a napoleonic scene on the 4th side. The carafe shows on one side the portrait of napoleon I with his hand in the front pocket of his uniform, on the other his coat of arms with the famous napoleonic eagle. The eagle and the bee are the emblems of the first and second empires. They are imperial symbolism with the coat of arms of napoleon I. Each piece is stamped “porcelaine” “limoges france”. This stamp which features a castle. This stamp is that of the jean château workshop purchased by haviland in 1976. This stamp was affixed by the workshop between 1945 and 1967. This service consists of: - 6 glass goblets measuring 4 cm on each side and 4.5 cm from above; - 1 carafe forming a book 24 cm high with its cap and 11 cm wide for a depth of 3.2 cm. The cap forms the quill of an inkwell from the period. Total weight of 621 grams.
