Armchair by Guy Besnard, 1950s, France

Armchair by french designer guy besnard upholstered in green velvet. Original piece from the 1950's with a marked style of french design of the time. Solid wood structure in which both the seat and the backrest are really comfortable, preserving the high quality foams of the original piece. Its design highlights the incredible profile that builds the shape of its armrests and the subtle inclination of the different pieces that make it up. The upholstery is topped with two buttons lined in the same fabric. All this contrasts with delicate legs in black iron that finish rounding off an exquisite design that tells us about the designer's care to build functional, comfortable pieces in which all profiles work visually. As a note to major on its measurements, the height of the seat is 40cm. And surprise, we also have available to his brother, an imposing two-seater sofa of the same designer upholstered in the same fabric. Do you dare with the set. 🙂 It is in very good condition as it has been re-upholstered in green velvet. The structure has been lacquered in matt black and the leg plugs have been replaced for greater stability.
