Description
Very beautiful japanese print, after the artist utamaro kitagawa (1753-1806), representing a young woman in front of her mirror. Utamaro kitagawa was a japanese artist, one of the most renowned creators of woodcuts and paintings and best known for his images. A large head of beautiful women from the 1790s. This is a 20th century reissue produced with traditional methods among art publishers, who were both scholars and artists. It has a seal hidden in the mat at the bottom left which you can see in the photo after removing it as well as the seal of the publishing house at the bottom right of tsutaya. Tsutaya jûzaburô who was an editor in the service of art between 1750 and 1797 and who subsequently created a publishing house of the same name. It is framed in the traditional japanese way, in a black lacquered wooden frame, with a small shock in a corner that is not visible. Condition: very good condition, apart from a very small trace at the top right the size of a pin next to the signature. With beautiful proportions, pretty colors, ready to hang, it is a very beautiful print, will tastefully decorate your interior. Frame size h 50.5 cm l 37 cm.
