Two piece table runners(vases) from pierre. D'avesn in model côtelé. In excellent condition, rare find. Pierre d'avesn started to work in the age of 14 at rené lalique for 10 years. During this period, he designed lalique's famous "serpent" vase as well as the "tourbillons" vase, two of lalique's most expensive and collected pieces. In 1926 he started to created his own models. Its pieces were made by the cristallerie de saint- Rémy. In 1930, daum frères asked him to take over the artistic direction of their molded glass department in their croismare glassworks till. 1936. In 1937, he took over the management of verlys until 1940. From 1940, he worked on his own. His pieces were made by the cristallerie de choisy-le-roi (sevres), surely the most important french glassmaker for art pieces. Dimensions: weight - 1795 g. Height - 5, 2 cm. Lx w - 22 × 9, 7 cm.
