Important Japanese Cabinet Barbara Cartland

Japanese-style cabinet with painted decoration of animated scenes in cartouches and carved wood with gold patina. It opens with two leaves separated by a frame with a mirrored bottom engraved with far eastern landscapes. He discovers an ivory and gold interior with floral decoration, lined with a mosaic of mirrors and opening with two drawers. It rests on an animated and openwork golden base, sculpted with foliage, the curved legs are joined by a plinth decorated with a lake scene. Attributed to maison jansen paris, around 1940, 1950. Very good condition. Provenance: personal collection of barbara cartland (writer).
