Grand lustre art nouveau

Elegant chandelier in art nouveau style, in bronze, brass and red copper, from the late nineteenth century. The décor of tendrils, leaves and flowers surrounds a more classical structure reminiscent of the napoleon III style, and shows this transition between two eras and the beginnings of this new style inspired by nature, breaking with the previous classism. Equipped in its time with city gas, it was later electrified (the wiring is recent, the bayonet sockets are made of brass). Frosted glass lampshades are original and in good condition. We note the lack of a petal on one of the 4 copper flowers around the perimeter (see photo). Height with the chain 100cm, without the chain: 77 cm.
