Period: 1930-1940. This amber glass tray is not only an attractive vintage piece, but is also convenient for serving your snacks. It is hexagonal in shape with a scalloped border and six compartments. The center is formed by a button-shaped handle. The base has a star-shaped pattern. It is pressed molded glass. Moulded in the base is the brand of the manufacturer val saint lambert belgium and this model is in the catalog luxval 1935 (n° 29). The luxval series was created by val saint lambert (a renowned belgian crystal factory) after the economic crash of the 1930s in order to offer a range of products more economical than their traditional cut crystal pieces; luxval items were usually made of pressed/semi-crystal glass and in the art deco style. State: Good. No damage. The inclusions of bubbles and lines in the glass are typical in the oldest molded-pressed items. Dimensions: 30 cm diameter, 8 cm height with button, 1.7 kg.
