“Black and White” pendant lamp by the Castiglioni brothers for Flos Italy 1970s

Mid-century style designer lamp, designed by Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni for the Italian publisher Flos in 1965. The opal glass bowl emits diffused light, a polished aluminum reflector mounted at the base gives more direct light towards the bottom. The name “black & white” comes from the contrast between the bowl and the base when only one of the two is lit. The lamp is new, in its original packaging, with certificate of authenticity. A silver dome reflector bulb is included. Diameter: approximately 50 cm.
