These flat weaves remind us of the hippies of the 70s. They were hand-woven by moroccan berber tribes in the high atlas mountains using traditional technique and recycled materials. Kilim boucherouite rugs are produced by tightly interweaving the chain and weft strands of the weaving to produce a flat, hairless surface. These are tapestry weaves, technically facing weft, I.e. Horizontal weft strands are pulled firmly down so that they hide vertical chain strands. This kilims is perfect for everyday family life, easy to wash and it will give a lot of character to your interior decoration with this "wow" effect, really eye-catching.
