Description
Two pretty enameled turned ceramic pots with a decoration of chocolate and blue leaves on a beige-gray background. They are stamped underneath “faïence de saint amand, france” and the name of this collection is “sologne”. They date from the 60s or late 50s, the last factory in saint amand having closed in 1962. Perhaps mustard pots, olive pots, or why not to put coarse salt, the cork regulating the humidity level. They are, in fact, equipped with their original cork stopper (the smallest has a cutout for a spoon). The pots are in perfect condition, no cracks or chips. The cork stoppers, while still intact, nevertheless show the patina of time and use on their external side. The large pot measures 15 cm in height (cap not included), approximately 12 cm in diameter, the smallest pot measures 12 cm in height (without the cap) and approximately 10 cm in diameter.
