Early 'Genni' chair by Gabriele Mucchi for Zanotta

Exquisite Gabriele Mucchi 'Genni' lounge chair designed in 1935 by Gabriele Mucchi for Zanotta. This is a first piece, numbered and with the original cushions and headrest and number. The frame is made of chrome tubular steel while the armrests are also covered with leather. Very elegant and comfortable lounge chair adjustable (height) in very good vintage condition with very beautiful patina with armrests and leather, severe architectural shape and a really comfortable seating. Mucchi was a painter, architect and designer and is best known for his paintings during the Italian avant-garde movement, this particular piece of furniture has become modern classics. It is easy to see the influence of the Bauhaus period on this piece with its straight shape and the use of tubular steel.
