Excellent office clock from the 60s, manufactured by Jaeger LeCoultre. The clock has an 8-day timepiece, for reassembly every 8 days. It also displays the date. Rare stainless steel version, while this clock was also made of gilded brass. The clock is in excellent condition. The round steel base and chrome bezel are in great shape, as is the interior. I think the dial would need a bit of cleaning after 50 years, but I didn't want to touch it. The most important thing is that the clock works on time, as one would expect from a brand that has been called "the watchmaker". Dimensions: (W x h): 9.5 x 4.5 cm ABOUT THE MANUFACTURER (information found online): Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre and originally named only LeCoultre, the company provided the biggest watch brands, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, with the high-quality unfinished movements with which they complemented their watches. In the early 1900s, Cartier's watch supplier, Edmond Jaeger, ensced antoine LeCoultre's help in creating the finest watches in the world. The collaboration resulted in the manufacture of the first Tank and Santos de Cartier watches, all equipped with LeCoultre movements. The team decided to merge in 1937, and the firm officially became the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand by which collectors know it today.
