Danish mid century free standing teak bookcase, 1970s

A very rare modular shelving system in teak from the 1960s. This particular version features five shelves supported hangers on thick wood rails. Unlike many other shelving systems that are hung from the top using brass hardware, this system rests on metal pins. Minimalistic, elegant, and functional, the spacing between shelves can be arranged according to personal preference. The simplicity of the wall unit makes it versatile and a beautiful addition to any interior – whether in an office space, living room, or bedroom. Additionally, the shelves and frame are robust, adding to the system's durability and aesthetic appeal. This shelving system consists of: 5 shelves: 80 cm wide and 30 cm deep. 2 wooden rails, 202 cm long. Overall dimensions: 202 cm (height) X 87 cm (width) X 30 cm (depth) Our team checked the bookcase thoroughly. All components fit together perfectly. We have cleaned the wood and protected it with danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We strive to restore it to its best look, considering it is 60 years old. The shelves are adjustable, providing flexibility for various arrangements.
