Asymmetrical vase, model 837 by pol chambost in the shape of an insectivorous flower, in ceramic with anise yellow glaze on the inside and black on the outside, signed "poterie pol chambost made in france n°837", circa 1955. Height 39 cm pol chambost was a renowned french ceramist, born july 30, 1906 in lyon and died january 6, 1983. He is known for his work in the field of ceramics and pottery. Chambost began his career as a textile designer, but quickly turned to ceramics in the 1930s. His distinctive style was characterized by simple, elegant shapes. His pieces were often done in bright, bold colors, making them very recognizable.
