Description
Pair of windows from the napoleon III period. The showcases are made in the boule style - brass and tortoiseshell marquetry, richly decorated with gilded bronze decorations, body and tops are mahogany and ebony plated, decorated with gilded bronze. An original couple, very rarely surviving in our time - the motifs of the first and second windows are identical - inlay in mirror image - in the first brass on a turtle, in the second a tortoise on brass. France. Mid-nineteenth century. Excellent condition. Height 112 cm, width 92, depth 32 cm. Excellent condition.
