Sofa togo model designed by michel ducaroy 1973. Red model in alcantara bought new at smets (luxembourg) in 2015. 2-seater sofa: length 130, height 70, depth 100cm. 3-seater sofa: length 170, height 70, depth 120 cm seat 30cm. Alcantara material. Goya red. No particular defect, like any vintage product it has some marks of use due to the passage of time. It has a small spot of about 3 cm under the 3-seater sofa. (see photo) I just had it cleaned by a professional company. Background: Togo is an "iconic" design piece, created and distributed since 1973. Technical aspect. Internal structure. Entirely made of foams of 3 different densities (polyether 21 kg/m3 - 3.2 kpa, polyether 28 kg/m3 - 4.8 kPa and high resilience polyurethane 26 kg/m3 - 1.4 kpa). Sewing / cover. Removable (by an upholsterer). Cover generously quilted with polyester wadding tablecloth and oversized. Comfort: elasticity of the foams reinforced by the threads of the buttons. Soft but sustained comfort. Particularly enveloping angle. Harmony. Plain or printed fabrics are accepted. Canvases and leathers recommended. Quality. Polyether foams of the best quality. Massive use of polyester wadding.
