Baccarat plate holder

Baccarat. Magnificent and rare. Set of 6 plate holders allowing the plate to be raised by sliding it underneath, typically for artichoke or asparagus sauce. Very fashionable in the 19th century. Bamboo model. Length 7cm, width 4.5cm, thickness 2.3cm, weight 102gr each. Pieces of beautiful manufacture, thick and heavy. Originally Baccarat labels which have disappeared over time. No signature because production prior to 1936. The Baccarat house marketed these items under the name "plate holder" they can be found in their 1916 catalog page 73 under the reference s487. Used item in beautiful used condition with a few small traces of time. Unbleached, unyellowed crystal, perfectly transparent and sound.
