Description
Bohemian porcelain plate from the carlsbad region (austro-hungarian), by the fisher&mieg factory in pirkenhammer, representing a grazing animal realism scene, from the 1900s. Decor painted in the basin composed like an animal realism painting, representing cows in an austro-hungarian mountain pasture. Finesse of the polished drawing. Decor painted with blue enamels outlined in gold on the wing, with patterns in the 1900 art nouveau style, radiating scrolls and floral motifs. Calibrated plate. Fine bohemian porcelain. Marked f&m with stamped ribbon motif, signature of the manufacture used between 1893-1908. Porcelain painter present at the factory during this period: andré carrière (parisian painter). The decor is attributed to him. Very good condition, slight flaking of the gold, see photos. Diameter 24 cm and height 2 cm. Collection of this series of 1900 lake landscapes by f&m taken back to the telfair museum.
