Description
Armchair in turned wood and canework signed Fischel: original label under the seat (see detail photo). Beech structure tinted "in its juice" given its good general condition: due to its age, the color is no longer completely homogeneous which gives it a beautiful patina specific to old pieces. The Fischel factory, founded in the second half of the 19th century, specialized in the creation and manufacture of bentwood seats. As a result, Fischel was one of the main competitors of the Thonet factory, which was responsible for the development of the curved wood technique from 1830. Canework in very good general condition but old, therefore more suitable for decorative or occasional use than for everyday use. . Dimensions l65.5 x p57.5 x h81 cm with seat height 48cm.
