Box - Nürnberger Lebkuchen

Old vintage box of the famous German gingerbreads from Nuremberg e. Otto Schmidt, dating from the 1980s. This box represents Wenzel Jamnitzer (1509-1585), a German goldsmith very active in Nuremberg. We can see the street where he lived and his famous “Merkelsche tafelaufsatz” (1549), a table ornament kept today at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Very good vintage condition, the lids open and close without problem. Small rust at the bottom of the box, under the image of jamnitzer (see photo). Dimensions: 10.5x12cm.
