“the silhouettes” miklos bokor 1993, mixed technique, oil painting on panel 97x87cm miklos bokor is a french painter of hungarian origin in march 1927 and died in paris on march 18, 2019. Very close to the poets yves bonnefoy and andré du bouchet, the work of miklos bokor is populated with silhouettes that emerge from the painter's memory, from the origins of humanity to the most contemporary history. Miklos bokor divided his life between his parisian workshop in la ruche and lot where he bought the church of maraden which he completely restored by creating frescoes on the interior walls. Miklos bokor has exhibited regularly at the galerie disheim in neuchâtel, switzerland, and at the galerie guillaume in paris. In 2014, the museum of modern art of the city of paris exhibited eleven very large formats of bokor. The artist's last exhibition took place at galerie guillaume in november 2018.
