Description
This delightful tea set is made of limoges porcelain. This delicate solitaire is composed of a small teapot, a creamer and a cup and its saucer. Typical of the mid-20th century, this egoist is adorned with a frieze flowered with roses and a golden border. Porcelain is fine and translucent. This service is signed by the house charles ahrenfeldt in limoges, founded in 1896. In beautiful condition, this set is delightful. I report usual scratches and a crack on the cup and saucer. The porcelain factories of limoges are famous since the 18th century. Porcelain makers have been awarded several times during their participation in world exhibitions in london, paris, vienna, philadelphia and chicago. In 1925, the international exhibition of decorative arts conferred on limoges the title of "international capital of porcelain". Inspired by decoration and fashion trends, the limoges table is synonymous with the french art of living. Limoges porcelain is exceptionally white and translucent. Of high quality, the pieces are worked with finesse and the ornaments are elegant. Size: Teapot - 13.5 cm height. Milk pot / crêmier - 7 cm. Cup - 9.5 cm. Undercup - 14.5 cm.
