Admirable example of opulent, scoundrel luxury from the pompidou years, with the exact dose of freedom in the project and rigor in the execution, a recipe for the perfect object. Here utility competes with pleasure: a cube of mythical tortoiseshell lucite closed by a lid with two edges, houses a hollow basin of transparent lucite the size of a refreshment bottle surrounded by ice cubes - the bottle is optional, ice cubes on their own are welcome. A chrome sphere-shaped socket. Note: the lid is housed between the two walls which are barely higher from top to bottom, and this perfectly designed object rests on these same sides, raised by two millimeters, thus avoiding contact with the bottom - pierced with 4 tiny holes to avoid fogging - on the furniture on which it is placed. Of the 4 felt pads, one is missing, and a hair at the socket is discernible depending on the direction of the light - see photos, and frequent scratches on the 1970 plexiglass. Perfect proportions: 20x20x20. Irresistible.
