Porcelain Lamp Base from Royal Copenhagen Denmark

This beautiful lamp base was produced in the royal copenhagen porcelain factory, which produced lighting together with fog and morup. Both brands are the basis of several famous danish designs. The lamp is part of the baca series, designed by nils thorsson for royal copenhagen faience (art pottery) in 1963 and produced for a number of years. The baca series shows a batik pattern embossed in the glaze with bird and fish motifs. This particular piece has birds and the production date is the period between 1969-1974.
