Ichikawa kozo (1930-2009) Porcelain incense burner and its lid, resting on three small legs, bearing a geometric decoration in bas-relief under celadon glaze. The shape and decoration evoking a flower bud about to bloom. Signed under the base. Second half of the 20th century. Ichikawa kozo was a famous artist based in the yamashina district of kyoto. He specialized in the production of fine porcelain with delicate glazes, he won numerous awards in japan and exhibited his work in france and canada. He is now considered one of the most talented artists in kyo traditional ceramics, which has been recognized as a traditional craft since 1977. * perfect condition.
