Olympus lamp 70s

This is the Olympe model of the Italian manufacturer Harvey Guzzini. Extraordinary postmodern Italian design of the 1970s, a fine example of popart design in the tradition of Memphis Milano. This is the large version, smaller models were also made. This model carries two bulbs E27. Use 60W max, or preferably LEDs to prevent the interior from heating and distorting the white acrylic panels. These lamps really shine when the bulbs are on. White acrylic lampshades disperse light laterally, upwards and forwards. It gives you a beautiful half-moon light shape in your room. The rectangular base is made of metal, it also includes the on/off switch. Both lamps are in good vintage condition. About Guzzini: Harvey Guzzini is often mistakenly considered the name of a lighting designer active in the 1960s and 1970s. However, the label belongs to a lighting manufacturing company founded by six Guzzini brothers – Raimondo, Giovanni, Virgilio, Giuseppe, Adolfo and Giannunzio. Their inspiration for the initial name? It was the 1950 film Harvey starring James Stewart. The Guzzini company has undergone various transformations over the years, calling itself Harvey Creazioni, Harvey Guzzini, Guzzini, iGuzzini and Illuminazione Guzzini.
