Neoclassical brass and crystal centerpiece cup

Period: ca. 1890-1920. This pretty medium-sized centerpiece cut can be used as a display of pralines or other small delicacies. The style of the decorations on the round brass container are entirely neoclassical/louis XVI with laurel garlands, fluted columns, and the roman lictor beam pattern around the lower edge; these were applied via the repelled technique. The handle, however, has a slightly art nouveau/jugendstil look. The crystal lining with a carved star pattern is undoubtedly original to the piece. There are no apparent manufacturer marks on the part. State: Good. The crystal lining is perfect. One of the ends of the handle was fixed at some point and the weld marks are visible (see photo).
