Old industrial iron stool

Very beautiful industrial stool from the 1940s. Entirely made of iron, it will have spent its entire life in a french factory where it was used daily by the workers. Solid and robust, it has seen all the colors, even sporting this smoothing finish revealing the different paints that covered it. It was stripped while keeping the different layers before being fully varnished to protect it. The rubber pads have been refurbished to improve comfort. It’s a real little piece of french industry! Even if it can, of course, be used to support seats for many decades to come, it is now intended to sit proudly in the corner of a room, supporting, why not, a beautiful plant or a majestic lamp, you reminding you every day that the industry is a story!
