This artisanal and authentic piece will give your interior decoration a touch of color and bohemianism. This wool kilim is a unique piece hand-woven by Pashtun men. It is a dominant ethnic group in Afghanistan, established mainly in the south and east of the country as well as in the northwestern province of Pakistan. These kilims, which are characterized by various geometric shapes, colorful or not, are part of the traditional culture of this originally nomadic people. These kilims have the particularity of being able to be used on both sides. They are very resistant thanks to their dense weave, and are easy to maintain. They adhere well to the ground but for more comfort, you can add anti-slip if you wish. It's an easy-to-wear carpet that doesn't get dirty and is suitable for all rooms in an apartment: from the entrance to the kitchen, the living room and even the bedside rug. The kilim is a flat-woven carpet and is therefore less dense and thick than a wool-strand carpet. “Kilim” is a Turkish word which means woven textile, it is used throughout the Arab world where flat-woven carpets are made. Just like Berber carpets, the kilim carries a very strong cultural identity and represents the tribe in which it is woven. Thus, its patterns, colors and wool vary depending on its geographical origin. You are therefore spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing the one that best matches your interior decoration!.
