Brutalist stained oak dining chairs for De Coene Belgium 1970s

Chairs attributed to Veranneman. The chairs are designed in strongly abstract lines with a stained oak frame. The seat part consists of an upholstered leather and foam frame and the backrest. The seat and backrest have carvings in the leather on the sides to accommodate the frame. The top of the chairs has a brass metal ornament that holds the back in place. The original chairs have been upholstered in brown/cognac (ette) leather. The chairs have been completely reupholstered in brown saddle leatherette with new foam. The frames are structurally in good condition with some minor wear.
