Color lithograph by the swedish painter and graphic artist bengt olson from 1971. Hand signed and numbered by the author. In an original period setting. Very good condition, minimal damage on the frame. Ove olson, born in 1903, died in 1975, was a swedish-french painter. Olson studied art with tage hansson at the scandinavian school of painting in malmö, but dropped out of his studies in 1929 and moved to paris, where he studied with henry de waroquier, othon friesz and charles dufresne at the académie de la grande chaumière. In 1934 he made his debut with an exhibition in strasbourg, and earlier that year he took part in the malmö city hall exhibition. Olson appeared regularly at french art salons as a member of the salon d'automne. After the war, he exhibited several times at individual exhibitions in paris and sweden. His art consists of landscapes from the suburbs of paris, port views and still lifes. Olson is represented at the moderna museet, the national museum in stockholm, the national museum in tours, the ticino institute in paris, the malmo museum, the helsingborg museum, the kalmar art museum.
