Candle holder vase signed Jean Claude Courjault

Very beautiful ceramic by jean claude courjault who worked until the 1970s for keraluc in quimper, then set up on his own at la cerisaie near chinon in 1975. This model, with a very refined, slender shape, is often presented as a vase (it is hollow all the way to the bottom) but it can also serve as a candle holder, it is in this configuration that I found it, it has a removable plaster “ring”, which allows you to put a candle (ring and candle sold with the vase). Is this original or did a previous owner make this In any case, it's clever, it allows you to give it 2 uses. It is signed, underneath, “courjault la cerisaie unique piece” and on the lower edge with the monogram “cjc”. We can therefore date it to shortly after 1975, because courjault was already installed at la cerisaie, but was still producing pieces there in the style of what he did for keraluc. Small funny detail, at first glance I read “cenisaie”, but depending on the direction of the light the n becomes r and vice versa. You'll see, it's amazing! It is a salt stoneware, a technique which consists of vitrifying the ceramic by adding salt during cooking, hence this particular appearance. This vase shows very original colors in different tones of blue and gray, which are sometimes found mixed with brown and beige tones on other courjault ceramics, but more rarely alone. This vase also includes elements in relief, engravings, strings of pearls, ferns, leaf veins. He's in perfect condition. The candle support ring is also intact, however the wax forming the base of the candle is separated into two pieces, I think that there is a way to reform it by heating the two pieces a little or by pouring some melted wax. The vase measures 25 cm in height, 10 cm in diameter at the base and at the highest, 5 cm in diameter at the tightest. It weighs approximately 750 g.
