Pink and lilac floral arrangement. Silk Needle Painting

Bouquet of roses and lilacs made using the needle painting technique using silk thread on silk fabric. This embroidery, which presents great finesse and remarkable technical mastery, is signed marcelle. The silk of the support is beige and the bouquet comes in zen shades of pinks and mauves. The silk support has some minor foxing. The frame, made by a framer, is in gilded wood with molding and relief. It is in very good condition despite a piece of torn kraft paper on the back (see photo). Dimensions: 55 cm high, 47 wide, 3 cm deep.
