Description
Period: late 19th century. A pair of rococo style two-armed candelabras. Between the gilded bronze feet and arms are conical bodies made of white porcelain; these have delicate hand-painted floral arrangements, golden rinses, and on one side they each have a gallant scene. They bear the signature "l. Henry". After some comparative research, it seems that this is the name of a manufacturer of gilded bronze frames (late 19th century) that are often associated with sèvres porcelain. State: The gilding has thinned on the foot of one candelabra and on the binet of the other candelabra; in these two places, the greenish oxidation is visible (i.e. The greenish color related to the copper content in the bronze). One of the candelabras does not hold 100% straight. Dimensions: see photo.
