Lot 9 hollow porcelain plates of LIMOGES Gold + rose border by JAMET SEIGNOLLES

This superb series of 9 hollow plates is made of limoges porcelain by decorator jamet seignolles. Dating from the mid-20th century, the plates are decorated with a fuschia pink border surrounded by two gold edging. The porcelain factories of limoges are renowned since the 18th century. The porcelain makers have been awarded several times during their participation in world exhibitions in london, paris, vienna, philadelphia and chicago. In 1925, the international exhibition of decorative arts conferred on limoges the title of "international capital of porcelain". Inspired, from all times, by trends in decoration and fashion, the limoges table is synonymous with the french art of living. Lafarge was a manufacturer and decorator. Limoges porcelain is an exceptional and translucent white. High quality, the pieces are worked with finesse and the ornaments are elegant. In good condition, these plates bear the brand "jamet seignolles - limoges france exclusivity". I point out some traces of use - micro-chips and wear of gilding. The hollow plates measure 22.8 cm in diameter.
