Description
Charming old cup with two twisted handles signed forah. Forah is the potters' workshop created in 1931 by rené anchierri (1905-1987), a renowned ceramist, trained in paul jacquet's workshop. The workshop closed during the second world war and reopened in 1946 until 1957. This cup therefore dates from before 1957. The hand-painted decoration is completed with the word "bretoncelles" which evokes a small town in perche, it is it is therefore probably a ceramic created by forah then offered as a souvenir object in the shops of this city. It is in good condition, no cracks, no stains but has two small chips on the top edge. It measures 6 cm in height, 10 cm in diameter, and 13.5 cm in width including handles.
