Antique inscribed tree of life khorassan carpet

Antique khorassan carpet from about 1910, inscribed. This is a very special rug with a 'tree of life' design, inscribed at one end and clearly commissioned for a special event.the tree is in full bloom and the design contains a forest of smaller trees and shrubs bursting with life. The sides are finished with light blue stripe contrasting with the dark blue edge. The colours are all natural. There are some signs of age and use which can be seen in the photos.
