Vintage Original French J.J. Audubon ‘Birds of America’ Art Exhibition Poster

An original vintage poster for ‘j.j. Audubon - un artiste et naturaliste français au nouveau monde’ (‘a french artist and naturalist in the new world’), a 1996 exhibition of works by celebrated french-american artist and naturalist, john james audubon, author of ‘the birds of america’ – one of the most expensive books in the world. A plate from the book, of the tufted auk, provides the main imagery of the poster. The exhibition was held at the musée du nouveau monde de la rochelle, france. There is a small fold to the bottom right corner – see last image – which would be entirely concealed by framing. Otherwise, excellent.
