Chest of drawers Display cabinet JAJO proj. I. Sternińska ŁAD Vintage PRL 60s and 70s

A set (chest of drawers and display cabinet) egg from the cooperative of artists and designers "ład" designed by izabela sternińska. This set is a universal and timeless design, which can also be described as "the devil is in the details": – shape of glazed parts – rounding the edges in the door – the end of the chest of drawers (the part going behind the door) – slightly cut legs at the bottom forming a frame of the side parts of the chest of drawers –handles it is a unique treat for collectors and lovers of ład. While a chest of drawers (in both variants: with doors and drawers) is available on a fairly regular basis, a full set with a display cabinet appears on the antiquarian market extremely rarely (once every few years). The furniture was in good condition. It has been professionally renovated in accordance with the highest standards (cleaning of external and internal surfaces, adjustment of hinges and locks, wood protection, etc.). The priority was to effectively "refresh" the furniture while maintaining its "vintage" character. This was undertaken by a befriended specialist in wood restoration, who had been deepening his knowledge for 20 years in a danish furniture manufactory.
