Table XIX lakescape, riverside with fisherman Barbizon

An oil-based painting on embedded canvas (period - late 19th century) depicting a lakeside landscape on the edge of a pond or a man fishing in a boat. Very nice atmosphere for this work which nevertheless requires some attention: a slight cleaning of the pictorial layer can give it an extra brightness and one of the edges of the canvas has torn on the angle of the frame (about 2/3 of its length), a small wear at the bottom left (visible in photo, nothing serious). That being said, the work could almost be framed since the canvas is healthy and perfectly stretched. Chassis size: 46 / 55 cm.
