Description
A small glass designed by z. Horbowy - artistic glassworks "barbara" in polanica-zdrój, 1970s/1980s. 20th century soda glass, colored in the mass. Beautiful and very rare colors. Very good condition, no damage. Dimensions: height 13 cm|diameter 6.5 cm|base diameter 6 cm|inlet diameter 5.5 cm. Dimensions in inches: height 5.1 in|diameter 2.6 in|base diameter 2.4 in|inlet diameter 2.2 in. Safe delivery guaranteed. Very good condition, minor scratches on the bottom caused over the years. Historical view: It was founded in the mid-1950s on the initiative of jan myczka. The buildings were built on the site of a previously existing wood pulp and needle bath plant. The glassworks originally belonged to the polanica-zdrój spa and produced bottles with a capacity of 0.33 liters for mineral water. On april 1, 1974, it was taken over by the glassworks "sudety" and after reconstruction, from december 1974. Launched production as artistic glassworks "barbara". From the same year, zbigniew horbowy was associated with it, working there as an artistic director. A design studio was established to create short series of utility glass. The studio team included: lucyna pijaczewska, ludwik ferenc, kazimierz krawczyk and czesław zuber. Since 1992, the steelworks has operated as a private company, fulfilling mainly orders from foreign customers. Huta "barbara" operated until 2018, when the plant was closed down. Designers associated with the steelworks: ludwik ferenc, zbigniew horbowy, kazimierz krawczyk, lucyna pijaczewska and czesław zuber.
