Ashanti stool from Ghana

Antique Ashanti stool from Ghana with a beautiful honey patina due to use, collected in West Africa, it dates from the beginning of the 20th century. It is a great classic of African art, it is certainly among the most sought-after stools for their design and originality. In Africa, the way of sitting often reveals a cultural system based on a very hierarchical stratification. Sitting, in itself, is a privilege.
