Vintage mahogany half-moon console directoire style

Half-moon console, directoire / louis XVI style. Elegant piece of wood with mahogany veneer, and marquetry/inlay, from france. Marquetry is a type of inlay that consists of assembling contrasting pieces of wood into scenes, shapes or geometric patterns. Like puzzle pieces, thin veneer pieces are delicately assembled and glued to the surface of a piece. The console has beautiful and delicate decorated marquetry on the top, as well as on the top and face of the top trim, and another wood-colored trim, just under the sliding doors (see photos.) the room rests on three long bases. The center/middle of the table has two sliding doors with vertical pieces of carved wood, which have two small brass-colored knobs (see photos.) note: the two sliding doors open and close (see photos.) the left sliding door works, but has a slight resistance, so it must be gently guided with one hand on the button and the other hand, on the actual panel, in order to help it slide well on the rail, when opening and closing. The piece is overall, very good original and vintage condition with some slight old marks and signs of previous use proportional to time, on the top (see photos), a small mark on the back of the top (see photo next to a 1 penny coin for perspective), the back top, left side of the trim (see photo), one just above the right sliding door (see photo). He wears a beautiful patina of age and time.
