This neoclassical style jewelry box in saxony porcelain from the 1950s and 1960s, decorated with multicolored flowers on a white background, presents a gallant scene in a medallion, where a man serenades a woman. Decorated with golden scrolls, it is stamped “imported from saxe deutschland”. In the 18th century, candy boxes and jewelry boxes were popular gifts for women in europe. Saxony porcelain, particularly cobalt blue, enjoyed worldwide popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, making it easier to access thanks to massive imports. * some minor wear on the gilding scrolls, particularly on the cover, is to be expected, simply due to its age and regular use. A small breakage is present on the edge of the box (see photos), but it is absolutely not visible once the box is closed. Its price is adjusted due to this defect, but I assure you that this absolutely does not impact its beauty, trust me! * here is a magnificent piece in saxon cobalt blue, a symbol of very good quality, with remarkable shine and painting of the porcelain, a well-supported historic blue and saxon quality know-how. * ⚖️ 0.168 g 📏 3.3 cm h / 8 cm dia.
