1950s Pair of Theo Ruth Lounge Chairs for Artifort, the Netherlands

An amazing pair of lounge chairs, one highback and one lady chair, designed by theo ruth and manufactured by artifort in the netherlands, circa 1950. These beautiful, luxurious chairs are upholstered in high quality grey chivasso silence fabric. This fabric is soft to the touch and has a beautiful, elegant glow. The chairs have a curved shape around the backrest that seemlessly turns into the armrests. They have a thick seat, creating a very comfortable seating experience combined with the ergonomic shape of the backrests. The measurements are as follows: Lady chair: w. 69 X d. 80 X h. 80 (sh. 41) cm. Highback chair: w. 74 X d. 90 X h. 92 (sh. 44) cm. The chairs have lacquered beech wooden feet in a beautiful, warm brown colour. This really adds to the overall elegance of the chair! This set would make a wonderful addition to any decor. The set remains in very good condition, excellent upholstery and only minor wear consistent with age and use to the feet, preserving a beautiful patina.
