Description
Old armenian, palestinian, ohanessian pottery vase in the iznik style. Handcrafted signed under the foot palestine karakashian-balian, late 19th century early 20th century. Baluster shape, flared neck, small high foot with rounded base. Pink terracotta, hand painted and glazed. Unusual black/purplish hue, with traditional plant motifs, turquoise blue, green, red, white/pink (transparency), navy blue frieze foot and triangular motifs. 22.5cm in height, 11-12cm in diameter max. Very good general condition, some small losses, notably on the edge of the neck (3) and on the edge of the foot (5), and other discreet traces of time, cracking of the varnish. Around 750gr.
