Very beautiful provencal gargoulette in semi-enamelled terracotta, Water jug south of france, Folk art pottery, Chevrette. Chevrette pottery. Originally used in south of france to transport water or wine while keeping it cool. This provencal jug has two handles and a spout. This pottery would be of the most beautiful effect for the decoration, in the kitchen, in the garden as a flower pot, in the bistro, on a counter, in the bathroom. Beautiful shiny patina, glazed inside and out. Ochre and red color. In good condition with some wear and also cooking defects.
