Description
Set of two ancient ornithological plates after john and elizabeth gould, edited by c. Hullmandel (charles joseph hullmandel) in 1955. These plates represent the species "trogon de cuba" (trogon temnurus) and "trogon montagnard" (trogon mexicanus). The lithographs are offered with a gilded wooden frame, under anti-uv glass. These frames decorated the walls of a luxury hotel on place vendôme in paris. Each frame is 41 cm high by 31 cm wide. Note. The engravings are in a good state of conservation. The frames show traces of age-related wear with a lack of gilding to note on one of the two frames.
