Description
A pair of functionalist armchairs, made in the 1930s in vienna during the bauhaus period. The armchairs are a typical example of the top central european functionalist design of the 1930s. In the case of these armchairs, the functionalist design is characterized, for example, by wooden bent slats leading around the perimeter of the armchairs, the shape of the armrests or the shapes of the seat and backrest. It´s made of beechwood. The armchairs were professionally completely restored in the prague restoration workroom, the wood was polished with shellac, a complete upholstery of the seating parts took place, including a complete replacement of the filling of the armchairs and springs with new ones. You will not see many similar chairs on the market at the moment. Price is for the pair. Seat height: 42 cm.
