China Vietnam 19th century work box

Superb red and gold lacquered hat or work box from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Exceptional for its dimensions: 41 / 23 cm. Small wear and tear on the bottom of the lid, which has stood the test of time. The previous owner had glued a piece of fabric to the inside of the lid, hence the traces of tape.
